Dr. Perrotti is passionate about quality education and training. He constantly seeks to improve quality of patient care through ongoing education and training. He genuinely cares about his patients and achieving the best outcomes in their lives. Dr. Perrotti has had extensive education, training and experience in diverse areas. Dr. Perrotti is a clinical psychologist specializing in diagnosis and treatment of anxiety disorders such as phobias, social anxiety disorder, panic disorder and PTSD as well as depressive disorders. Family Systems Therapy is utilized to improve communication and bring about healing and restoration. Marital Counseling is offered to reduce couples’ conflicts. Conjoint parent-child counseling is offered to resolve parent-child conflicts. The goal is to improve quality of life and to provide improved coping skills for patients.
Patients are provided with practical tools to manage anxiety such as hypnotherapy, guided visual imagery and relaxation techniques. Cognitive behavioral Therapy (CBT) worksheets for patients are available.
In this service area, Dr. Perrotti conducts forensic evaluations. Forensic evaluations are requested by an individual’s attorney or the Court and are very helpful in shedding light and objective testing on high conflict, adversarial situations. These can be very helpful in situations such as child custody, with “he said, she said” versions of events, criminal matters including an expert opinion on such matters as criminal intent, eyewitness identification and false confessions. Forensic assessment is also useful in matters including assessment of competency to execute wills and financial agreements.
Dr. Perrotti is a fieldwork supervisor for University of California, Los Angeles, Department of Psychology, clinical and research interns. His practice is approved by UCLA as a fieldwork internship site for UCLA students.
